Ran a placard at the end of today’s game. I can understand the sarcasm and the hidden anguish in those statements. You know, when your normal modes of expression are exhausted, its natural to try twisted modes.

A friend forwarded a HINDU article by Nirmal Shekar (you know, the odd guy in the HINDU that writes *literary* sports pieces that very few understand) which offers some sensible advice, though cliched.

Another friend commented that for once, Nirmal has written something the commoner (like, you and me) can understand! 😉 And understand, we need to.

Here’s what my mom thinks..

Mom:  இந்த பையன் வந்து முட்டை-ல out ஆயிட்டான்.இந்த தோனி பையனும் தான். முடிய மட்டும் நல்லா வளக்க தெரியுது.. மக்கள் எல்லாம் எப்பிடி எதிர்பாத்துட்டு இருந்தாங்க?

Me: (ROTFL) ஏம்பா எல்லாரும் இப்பிடி எதிர்பாக்குறீங்க?

Mom: கவலையா இருக்குடா.. இந்த காமா-ஸோமா பசங்க கிட்ட எல்லாம் தோத்துடு வராங்க.. அடுத்து இந்த பெர்முடாஸ் போட்ட பசங்க கிட்ட இந்த bangladesh தோத்தா தான் நம்ம போவோம்ல?

Me: (still in a very amused state at my mom’s response) ஆமா.. அது எப்பிடியும் நடக்காது.

Mom: ஆமா.. அந்த பசங்க நல்லா ஆடிகிட்டு இருக்காங்க..

It went on about how this shocked her in the morning etc etc. I had little in the form of words! 🙂
