Numbers in words and population proportions

Expecting Google to do this, I typed the following in: 6,525,170,264 in words. Bang came the answer.

6 525 170 264 = six billion five hundred twenty-five million one hundred seventy thousand two hundred sixty-four

Right on the money! That number was brought up by typing in “world population”.

Why was I doing that? Just to check that one out of six in the world is an Indian. So I am not very surprised that

Every sixth employee in the workforce of top eight global IT companies is an Indian.

Its not surprising in today’s world. It would have been surprising for a time traveler from back in the 1900s. I must add that it is today’s global village with foundations of democracy that made this possible among many other reasons.
