BrahMos Hypersonic Missile

There was a discussion over at Peter Foster’s as to whether India should focus on the gutters before aiming for the stars. (Peter had posed this question while touching upon ISRO’s future plans) A few people (including this blogger) had called for an integrated approach arguing it is too simplistic to just focus on the gutters leaving everything else until the gutters are made good. A few of us highlighted the achievements of ISRO and its revenue generation capabilities.

Also, I had called for a cut in defense spending by cooperation with our neighbors.(haha!) The resulting deescalation, I felt, would throw that money back into infrastructure/education. Looks like there are no such plans. (No one should be very surprised)
